Our goal with LiteCommerce is to make the best e-commerce CMS platform that is focused on PHP developers. We know that a platform is as good as the developers coding for it. That's why we purposely left some functionality for implementation by the developer community.
So — seize the opportunity! We challenge you to create The Best LiteCommerce add-on and win the Prize. You can participate with one or more LiteCommerce modules, free or paid.
And here is the bonus: since the LiteCommerce core will be the common base for all our future PHP e-commerce solutions, the modules you develop for LiteCommerce now will be compatible with the upcoming "Х-Cart v5" when it is released!
Make sure that the module meets requirements from Developer Program Agreement.
It doesn't matter whether it is a free or a paid module.
All of them are eligible for the Challenge.
Modules that are the product of substantial development help from employees of Creative Development aren’t eligible for the Challenge.
By submitting a module, you acknowledge and understand that we or other participants may independently develop modules and improvements to LiteCommerce, which may be similar to or identical to your module in terms of theme, idea, function or other respects. You agree that you will not be entitled to any rights in, or compensation in connection with, any such similar or identical applications and/or ideas.

We encourage you not to wait till the end of the submission period and submit your modules earlier. The earlier the module is listed in the Module Marketplace, the better usage statistics we have.

Modules submitted for the Challenge will be judged by a panel of experts in the fields of e-commerce, web applications and software development ("Judges"). We will select the Judges from Creative Development or from other organizations.
Judging will last from May 1, 2012 till May 31, 2012. Judges will consider each eligible module under the following equally-weighted criteria:
Three modules with the highest scores will be designated the First, Second, and Third Place. In case of a tie, the Judges review the modules and determine which of those that are tied will be designated the First, Second, or Third Place.
The prize recipient is responsible for ensuring that (s)he complies with all the applicable tax laws and filing requirements. All taxes imposed on the prize, other than those we are required to withhold, are the sole responsibility of the prize recipient.
Payments to potential prize recipients are subject to the express requirement that they submit all the documentation requested by us to permit us to comply with all applicable nation, state, local and foreign (including provincial) tax reporting and withholding requirements. All grants will be net of any taxes that we are required to withhold. If a prize recipient fails to provide such documentation or comply with such laws, the prize may be forfeited, and we may select an alternative prize recipient.
