Activating the Module

Return to Introduction  Previous page  Next page

In order to use the functionality provided by Auto Update Catalog, you must activate the module. You can deactivate it when you need to hide the module’s functionality and reactivate it at any time.

To activate/deactivate a module:

1.select the ‘Modules’ section in the ‘Settings’ menu of the Administrator Zone (Figure 7-1),
2.place/remove a checkmark in the ‘Active’ check box against the module’s title (to select/unselect all modules at once, place/remove a checkmark in the 'Active' field in the header of the list),  and
3.click on the ‘Update’ button.

As Auto Update Catalog is a dependant module, you cannot activate it independently. If you select to activate it when the HTMLCatalog is not activated, the following error message appears at the top of the installed modules list:

auc_1

After the module name in the list there also is an error message with the name of the dependency module:

auc_2

Activate HTMLCatalog module first to be able to activate Auto Update Catalog.

Note: Auto Update Catalog add-on does not function when "checkout desk" mode is enabled.
