We are glad to announce that an alpha version of LiteCommerce v3 is available for downloading. It is not recommended to use this alpha version for production sites. However, users wishing to help test and develop LiteCommerce can download it and either install it as a stand-alone web application, or connect it to a Drupal-based website.
Although LiteCommerce v3 is based on the LiteCommerce v2 source code, we have significantly changed its architecture and now it is 2-10 times faster than LiteCommerce v2.
Another major improvement is the ability to use LiteCommerce in connection to a Drupal-based website. In this case all storefront pages and blocks generated by LiteCommerce transparently integrate into the website and the merchant can manage them in the Drupal user interface: move blocks around a page, hide them on specific website pages and so on...
And, hey! Now LiteCommerce is a free ecommerce solution distributed under Open Software License (OSL 3.0).
