PayPal compatible ecommerce store builder

PayPal is one of the most popular online payment options worldwide, moreover it is the most popular payment method among our customers.
LiteCommerce is compatible with PayPal along with the other product we offer - X-Cart.

PayPal payment add-on (USD 17.00) is required to have this integration in your LiteCommerce store. The add-on includes integration with PayPal Standard (IPN) and PayPal Pro.
For each of these methods, the mechanism of integration into an ecommerce store software is slightly different.

PayPal Standard is a simple payment method usually used by novice store owners. It permits accepting payments online from other PayPal users in your ecommerce software. Although this method is quite simple and reliable, during the checkout a customer is redirected to PayPal website, which is disliked by many store owners.

With PayPal Pro you can accept credit card payments along with the ones from PayPal accounts. This option actually includes 2 payment methods: Express Checkout and Direct Payment. You can use Express Checkout without Direct Payment; however, to use Direct Payment you must use Express Checkout. According to PayPal regulation, you must let a customer choose whether to use Direct Payment or Express Checkout.

With Express Checkout, much like with PayPal Standard, a customer is redirected to PayPal website to login. The difference is with this option all the shipping and other customer info can be taken from PayPal, so a customer does not have to login LiteCommerce-based store.

With Direct Payment the entire customer data is collected onsite, then processed with PayPal, so a customer stays on your website during all the process. The point is you can not use Direct Payment separately from Express Checkout.
